Anti-spam policy

Sending spam via Active Service is strictly prohibited. Anyone found doing so is removed from the service without notice. Please send reports of suspected abuse to abuse@light-house-traffic.com.

What we stand for

• Active Service mails exclusively to subscribers who have confirmed their registration.
• Active Service refuses cooperation with anyone known to send unsolicited e-mail.
• Active Service does not pass subscriber addresses on to third parties – neither for money nor in exchange.

Our understanding of spam

Spam means e-mail that nobody asked for, especially unsolicited advertising sent in bulk. We regard a message as spam if

• the same content goes out to a mass of recipients without any personal connection,
• no recipient has expressly and demonstrably agreed to receive it, with the option to revoke that agreement,
• the recipient gains hardly anything from it while the sender benefits considerably.

When a business relationship exists

We speak of an existing business relationship if the recipient has previously ordered from the sender, asked for information, filled in a questionnaire or contacted the sender in some other way.

What informed consent means

The recipient knew in advance and in plain words what their e-mail address would be used for, and gave their agreement before it was collected and used.
